"My hope and intent is to transport admirers of my work to a place and time they will enjoy experiencing. I am an impressionist, landscape artist and it is almost always light and its effects, subtle or dramatic, that initially draw me to a composition. In each of my paintings I am attempting to capture a moment in time when light bounces off the subject matter, affecting color, value and shapes, creating what one might refer to as a "wow" moment. My goal is to create a painting that looks realistic and at the same time, effortless and painterly."
